I was born on the path to a career as a real estate broker. From a young age I developed determination and toughness competing for 7 years at arguably the most difficult youth sport of all-wrestling. Student government and captain of multiple high school sports teams further enhanced the grit developed from wrestling into a leadership role and the beginning skills of problem solving and conflict resolution. Years of working as an outdoor guide in college and beyond entrenched my ability to not only lead people through challenging situations, but to do it in a manner that creates trust, is enjoyable and fulfilling. Earning a BA in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Barbara without any family financial support instilled the values of sustained dedication and financial stewardship. After graduating and moving to Telluride in the early 90’s, I met my wife and that 22+ year relationship has enhanced my skills at negotiation and patience! In 2003, my formal Telluride real estate journey began as a licensed residential appraiser. I worked full time in that profession for many years and still maintain an active license as an appraiser. The analytical skills along with an intimate familiarity with the nuances of the Telluride real estate market gained working as a Telluride appraiser led to a seamless entry to real estate brokering in 2006. Today, after over 30 years of cumulative Telluride real estate experience and the skills developed in other facets of life combined with an in-depth knowledge of the Telluride community creates a level of professionalism that my clients find invaluable.
